1/ Description of the Parefit slab guardrail

• Parefit metal guardrails will be supplied in a standard size of 1200 x 1000 mm (outer post length x handrail height). Depending on the size of the balcony, they will be adapted into several custom-made modules to fit the actual dimensions of the balcony.
• The center distance of the standard module will be 1200 mm, measured from left to right.
• A hollow joint of between 1 and 8 mm will be provided during installation, depending on the configuration of the concrete slab.
• The total height of the guardrail will be 1000 mm, measured from the highest point of the slab to the handrail.
• The perforation will be carried out according to the architect's choice from Dampere range of perforated Dampere or laser-cut railing designs.

2/ Material and finish of the guardrail

• The guardrails will be made of galvanized steel to ensure optimal strength and durability.
• All parts are oven-baked powder coated in the same RAL xxxx color chosen by the architect.
• The corners of the balcony are made from single-piece components that fit onto both sides of the concrete slab without the need for intermediate posts. The main angle is 90 degrees and can be adapted to the following variations: railing angles of 70 degrees, 80 degrees, 100 degrees, 110 degrees, and 120 degrees.

3/ Fixing the guardrail to the concrete slab

The plates will be made of steel and will be securely welded to the posts to ensure a safe and sturdy attachment, either by mechanical or chemical anchoring. A tensile strength test will be carried out at the start of the project to determine the load-bearing capacity of the concrete support. If necessary, reinforce the slab by adding a 20 cm concrete wall.

4/ Delivery and installation of the guardrail kit
