The following are excluded from the service:

• Measurement of the linear length to be protected, not including the angles of the guardrail's overhang
• Analysis of balcony stability and inspection of supports prior to installation
• Installation and fitting of the guardrail at the customer's expense.

• Chemical anchors or expansion anchors must be purchased by the customer. Please note: the strength, stability, and mechanical integrity of the balcony must be verified by the customer. Any cracks in the concrete are a structural problem with the floor and do not call into question the quality or choice of the guardrail installed on top of it.
• Touch-up painting required in case of scratches during or after installation
• Annual maintenance and servicing of the guardrail, depending on the building's usage and environment.

• The period of international tension linked to the Covid crisis, followed by the geopolitical situation in Eastern Europe, led to significant fluctuations in the price and availability of all metals. At times, raw material stocks became insufficient to supply all industrial sectors and the construction industry. This situation led to deliveries being scheduled according to stock availability, resulting in longer production lead times.
• Important note: do not confuse delivery time with the design phase. For some projects, the plans are incomplete, the specifications lack precision, and the constraints are unclear. In such cases, it is impossible to start production or guarantee a delivery time until the client—project owner or project manager—has approved the final production plans.

Below are some ideas and actions that can be taken at each stage of the project to ensure the shortest possible installation schedule.

• From the outset of the project, the project owner and architect must establish a clear layout plan for the guardrails to facilitate all phases of the project. Explicit guidelines on the plans for each floor of the building, as well as in the detailed plans and in the floor-by-floor breakdown of the cost engineer's table, will provide a clear overview of the work to be carried out. This summary at the start of the project avoids numerous email exchanges during the execution phase, which can hold up production. A well-prepared file from the project manager speeds up the execution phase, as everyone knows exactly what is expected of the project.   
• The explicit definition of the guardrail in the CCTP before the launch of the call for tenders avoids any discussion between companies during the project execution phase. How often are we forced to work on projects without specific details about the balcony guardrails ? This is a waste of time during the construction phase and is detrimental to the schedule. The description of the guardrail must be complete to avoid any discussion that wastes time and prevents rapid production. A description of the guardrail must include all the information necessary for its definition, design, and installation. 
• By using an industrially optimized design, you reduce the time spent studying and discussing the adjustment of custom guardrails. Unconventional modifications to an industrial guardrail require changes in the design office, a new production nomenclature, a change in workflow, and different supplies. • When setting up the project, there are several configurations to avoid, as they could slow down the entire construction project. Guardrail bending, height differences between balconies, color changes between floors, trapezoidal balconies, and triangular constructions should be avoided, as they not only affect the budget but also require complex synthesis plans with a lot of back-and-forth before production can begin. Obstacles such as gutters, curbs, sloped surfaces, and special concrete cuts can significantly slow down or hinder the project. 
• Early consultation by the architect or general contractor is key to meeting deadlines. The sooner we are aware of the project, the easier it will be to organize the production schedule. Too often, we are consulted when the project is already underway or behind schedule!  
• Of course, placing an order early in the project allows us to reserve the raw materials, schedule programming hours, and set aside production hours. Without information from the customer, it is impossible to reserve hours for your project. ². 
• A short deadline requires no interference between trades. Avoid having several trades working in the same place at the same time. Simultaneous activity is the enemy of speed. Care must be taken to maintain a guardrail section without interfering with the waterproofing, facade, exterior carpentry, and insulation. 

• Defining a standard module size in advance facilitates layout planning during the design phase and, above all, allows parts for the construction site to be produced in advance. All you have to do is send the sizes of the custom-made guardrails so that we can quickly finish the balcony railing in accordance with the construction schedule. 
• By speeding up the construction of the prototype, the first in the series is launched as quickly as possible, making it possible to continue with the rest of the work on site and to carry out the entire process of purchasing and installing the railings on the balconies. 
• As soon as the building is out of the ground and the balconies are completed during the structural work phase, you can send us a schedule for each floor or each facade according to your progress. It will then be possible to group the formats according to the modules in production to ensure industrial timing and delivery phasing. Any information sent in advance allows us to organize a schedule that can then be accelerated if express delivery of guardrails is required.  
• Clearly stating the mandatory delivery date allows production to be organized accordingly. The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, but rather the illusion of knowledge. If information is not communicated at the start of the project, it is difficult to adapt the production flow.
